Terms such as “Japanese escort girl,” “Japan call girl,” and “일본 콜걸” are sometimes used as search terms related to Japanese “deli-heru” girls (women who work in the delivery health industry).
Japan has its own unique system that differs from escort services in other countries. This article explains what a “delivery health” worker is and what types of services are available. It also summarizes how to choose and find them, specifically for foreign visitors.
Furthermore, the English terms “escort” and “call girl” do not fully correspond to the Japanese term “delivery health.” Understanding these differences in terminology can help reduce misunderstandings when making a reservation.

In Japan, a “delivery health” worker refers to a female staff member affiliated with a delivery health (abbreviated as “delihel”) agency. Delivery health is a dispatch-based service in which women visit locations specified by clients, rather than operating from a physical storefront.
Delivery health is sometimes described in Japan as a service similar to “call girls” or “escorts,” where women are dispatched to hotels or private residences. For this reason, it is sometimes searched for in English overseas using terms like “Japanese call girl” or “Japan escort girl.”
The Japanese term “deliheru” is a Japanese-coined English term, an abbreviation of the English phrase “delivery health.” In Japan’s adult entertainment industry, the word “health” is used to denote services that go beyond mere massage.
Clients check profiles and rates on the agency’s website. They then make a reservation and meet the woman at a hotel or similar location.
For each search term, we’ll explain its meaning in Japan.
| How It’s Perceived in Japan | |
|---|---|
| escort girl / Japan escort girl | In Japan, this English term primarily refers to “deriheru” (outcall services). It involves a woman visiting the client at their place of lodging. |
| call girl / Japanese call girl | This refers to a service where clients call or chat to request a visit. In Japan, this is similar to the “delivery health” service. |
| escort girl japon | A search term used in French-speaking regions. It has the same meaning as the English phrase “Japan escort girl.” |
| escorts in asia | Regulations vary by country. In Japan, you need to check the specific rules of each establishment. |
The regulations governing escort services in Japan vary by prefecture and region. Please do not simply apply the experiences of other countries; instead, be sure to verify the specific regulations in Japan.
In addition to outcall services, Japan has several other types of adult entertainment establishments, such as soaplands and health clubs. If you’d like to get a better understanding of the overall landscape, please refer to the following article.
This article focuses primarily on escort services.
I will explain the basic workings of escort services step by step.
In Japan, the adult entertainment industry consists of both brick-and-mortar and non-brick-and-mortar establishments; escort services do not have physical locations, and women are dispatched to hotels or private residences.
The in-store service is one where the client visits the store. The outcall service is one where a woman comes to the client’s location.
The outcall service has the following characteristics:
With outcall escort services, you choose a package based on duration, such as 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes. The price list includes items such as package duration, dispatch fee, request fee, and optional service fees.
Before using the service, please confirm the total cost. It’s important to check not only the base rate but also whether there are any additional charges.
In Japan, adult entertainment establishments with physical locations must close by midnight. On the other hand, since escort services do not have physical locations, they can remain open late into the night. Business hours vary by establishment. Please check the individual establishment pages for details.
We’ll answer the question, “What kinds of genres are there?” Each escort service has a different concept. Here, we’ll introduce a general way of categorizing them.
*The specific availability of models in each genre varies by establishment. Please check the establishment’s page for the latest information.
The store promotes the age range and image of its female staff as part of its concept.
Since there is significant variation in women’s ages and appearances, please do not judge them based solely on the category name. It is important to check their profiles.
For international visitors, the most important factor is the level of hospitality.
All establishments listed on YOASOBI HEAVEN welcome international visitors. Since the establishment chat feature supports automatic translation, visitors who are unsure about their Japanese skills can check details before making a reservation.
There are other types of outcall services besides escort services.
If you’d like to learn more about how escort services work, please check out the following article.
We’ll answer the question, “How should I choose?” Please go through the following seven items in order.
In Japan, some establishments do not accept foreign customers. Since many outcall services also do not accept foreign customers, it is recommended that you choose establishments that welcome foreign customers.
All establishments listed on YOASOBI HEAVEN welcome foreign customers. This saves you the trouble of having to check each establishment’s policies individually.
Escort services have specific service areas. Please check whether your accommodation is within the service area before making a reservation.
Please check the following items on the store page.
The guide explains how to read the pricing, including how to check the course duration, dispatch fees, booking fees, and optional charges.
The profiles of our female staff members include their age, height, measurements, and work schedule. Please keep the following points in mind when reviewing them.
Popular therapists tend to book up quickly, so same-day appointments are limited to those who are available. If you have a specific date in mind, booking 2–3 days in advance will give you more options.
A “reservation” is a method of booking a specific woman. “Walk-in” means leaving the choice of woman up to the establishment.
Reservations may incur an additional fee. Fees vary by establishment.
YOASOBI HEAVEN includes a section where you can check the payment methods accepted at each store. Please check the store page before visiting to confirm which payment methods other than cash are accepted and whether credit cards are accepted.
There aren’t many women who speak English fluently. In fact, it’s been reported that many users rely on translation apps to communicate.
If you limit your search to “women who speak English,” your options will be narrowed down. It’s easier to choose if you don’t set the language requirements too strictly.
When chatting with a woman during your session, you can use a translation app as needed. You can make reservations and confirm details in advance via the YOASOBI HEAVEN store chat. The store chat supports automatic translation.
We’ll answer the question, “Where should I look?” Here, we’ll compare the main ways to search.
| Features and Points to Note | |
|---|---|
| Adult Entertainment Information Sites | You can compare prices, profiles, and payment methods for different establishments. This is an easy way to find places that welcome foreigners. |
| Establishment Official Websites | You can check the latest staff schedules and prices. Some sites are in Japanese only. |
| Social Media | You can view establishment information. Be careful, as there are fake accounts and unofficial intermediaries. |
| Street touts | Please avoid using their services. This method is prone to disputes over rates and terms. |
It is recommended that you use officially operated stores and avoid street solicitations and suspicious touts.
On YOASOBI HEAVEN, you can search for businesses by area or industry. All listed businesses welcome international visitors. You can check prices and payment methods on each business’s page.
Areas with a high concentration of escort agencies include Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, and Ueno in Tokyo; Umeda and Namba in Osaka; Sakae in Nagoya; and Nakasu in Fukuoka.
Since these agencies do not have physical locations, it is common to search for one based on the area where you are staying.
I will explain the usage process step by step.
Step 1: Choose a Venue
Check the area, rates, and service details to select a venue.
Step 2: Make a Reservation via Chat
For venues listed on YOASOBI HEAVEN, contacting and making reservations via chat is the standard procedure. The venue chat supports automatic translation, making it easy for users who are unsure about their Japanese skills to confirm details in advance—such as preferred dates and times, rates, service areas, and how to use the service.
Depending on the establishment, you may also choose to make inquiries via general social media platforms or by phone. However, if you’re uncomfortable speaking Japanese over the phone, using the YOASOBI HEAVEN chat feature is likely the easiest option.
Step 3: Confirm Your Accommodations
Many business hotels do not permit visitors other than guests to enter the room. For this reason, using a love hotel is generally considered the standard method.
If you plan to use an outcall service, please confirm in advance whether the hotel where you are staying permits visitors to enter the premises or your room. Depending on the rules of your accommodation, you may not be able to use an outcall service. If this is the case, you can use a nearby love hotel to access the outcall service.
The next article explains in detail how to use love hotels.
Step 4: Provide Your Room Number
Once you’ve checked into the hotel, provide your room number to the establishment. The time it takes for the escort to arrive varies depending on the distance.
Step 5: Meet the Escort and Pay
When the escort arrives, greet her and pay the fee in advance. Since change may not be available, please have the exact amount ready in cash.
Payment methods vary by establishment. Please check the establishment’s page in advance.
Step 6: Use the Service Within the Allotted Time
Receive the service within the allotted time. Once the time is up, the session ends. If you wish to extend the session, please check the extension fee.
Here are some tips for international visitors to help them avoid problems.
Service details are determined by each establishment’s rules. Please use the services only within the scope described on the establishment’s page.
You must not ask women to engage in activities prohibited by the establishment. Soliciting illegal activities or coercing women will lead to problems.
It is stated that prices are usually fixed and that negotiating a discount is considered rude.
Some unlicensed websites may lure travelers with fake photos or hidden fees.
Avoiding the following will help reduce the likelihood of problems.
Users are responsible for maintaining hygiene before and after use. Please refrain from using the facility if you are feeling unwell. If the store provides hygiene supplies, please use them according to the instructions.
We answer common questions from foreign customers researching escort services in Japan.
Laws and regulations vary by country in Asia. When using the service in Japan, you must comply with Japanese regulations and the store’s rules. Please do not assume that the experience will be the same as in other countries.
For Foreign Residents in Japan
Foreign residents in Japan can use the service following the same procedure. Availability of in-home services varies by store and region. Please check with the store when making your reservation.
If You Are Accompanied by Others
If multiple people will be staying in the same room, please inform the establishment in advance. You should also check the hotel’s rules.
Estimated Duration of Stay
Many first-time users tend to start with a 60- to 90-minute course. However, pricing and satisfaction levels vary by establishment. Please check the course details on the establishment’s page first.
