This was my first trip to Osaka and my first time dating a Japanese girl.

처음에는 솔직히 외모 때문에 선택했습니다.
몸매도 굉장히 좋고, 일기 사진에 업로드된 아쿠아님의 일상 사진이 제 이상형에 가까웠거든요.
사진 보정 때문에 사진의 모습이 실제 모습보다 나은 편이 대부분인데, 아쿠아님은 실제 모습이 사진보다 훨씬 더 귀엽고 사랑스러웠습니다.
얼굴도 정말 작았고, 어떻게 눈, 코, 입이 그 조그만 곳에 다 들어있는지 놀랐어요. 요정 팅커벨이 인간이 되었다면 이런 모습이 아닐까 생각했습니다.
아쿠아님은 플레이 측면에서도 만족스러웠지만, 대화 등 다른 측면에서도 완벽에 가까웠습니다. 처음이라 계속 긴장하고 있던 저를 자연스럽게 달래주었고, 여러 가지를 알려주었습니다. 마치 "교수(Professor)"가 학생을 지도하는 것처럼요. Thank you, Professor AKUA(not aQua)!
또한, 아쿠아님은 일기에서 보여주는 모습처럼 활기발랄한 부분도 있었지만, 동시에 상당히 차분한 성격의 사람이었습니다. 저는 아쿠아님의 긍정적이고 활발한 모습보다 이처럼 차분하고 진지한 부분이 더 매력적으로 느껴졌고, 그래서인지 몰라도 호기심으로 진행한 첫 120분 코스가 상당히 짧게 느껴졌습니다. 그래서 여행 기간 중 240분 코스를 2번 더 진행했는데, 이것 역시 짧게 느껴졌네요. (엔화가 부족해요! 그래도 멈출 수가 없었습니다.)
아마 이렇게 시간이 부족하다고 느낀 구체적인 이유는, 아쿠아님이 단순히 외모만 아름다운 사람이 아니라 대화가 정말 잘 통하는 사람이었기 때문이라고 생각합니다.
호텔 및 이자카야에서 같이 맥주를 마시면서 아쿠아님의 OL(Office Lady) 시절 이야기와 일상 이야기를 듣고, 저의 이야기를 나누고, 서로에게 궁금한 점을 묻고 답하는 이문화 교류는 상당히 재밌는 경험이었습니다.
아쿠아님은 플레이 부분에서도 능숙한 사람이면서, 이야기가 통하는 사람입니다. 일본어는 초급 수준으로 speaking & listening이 가능하고, 영어는 listening만 원활히 가능한 제 언어 수준에 맞춰, 제 수준에 맞는 일본어와 영어를 섞어가며 시간 내내 끊임없이 대화를 이어주었습니다.
아마 저처럼 처음엔 가볍게 생각하고 갔다가, 생각보다 깊게 기억에 남는 경험을 하게 될 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 이 글을 쓰고 나면, 다음에 제가 다시 만나기 더 어려워질 것 같지만… 그래도 남기고 싶을 정도로 기억에 남는 사람이었습니다. 이번 오사카 여행에서 가장 오래 기억에 남을 순간은, 관광지 방문이 아닌, 아쿠아님과의 시간이 될 것 같습니다.
