We had a nice conversation about her trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, which gave us plenty of common ground. I could have happily spent the entire session just chatting with her if she hadn’t gently steered things toward the main event. My Japanese is far from fluent, but she was patient and made every effort to understand me.
